Roger Zelazny Again, it seems there was some interest in adapting the classic Amber series, but some idiots thought it was too game-of-thronish. But Elric wasn't Moorcock's only series, Hawkmoon, Count Brass and Corum are other iterations of the eternal champion that could adapted by someone with some balls Too bad, there is a TON of quality material here.
#War thunder forum series
Michael Moorcock Looks like the Elric of Melnibone series has been through the development ringer for decades. There have been plenty of Phillip K Dick adaptations, but the well may have run dry there. The Conan movies with Arnold from that era were really well done. Some other notables are the Ursula LeGuin's Earth Sea Trilogy. The books seemed reached their peak of popularity during the 70's (people actually read back then!). We all know that Tolkien's Lord of the Rings trilogy is the High King of all fantasy series, and the Peter Jackson movies are masterpieces. There have already been some adaptations of well known books from that era. It's no secret that Hollywood is almost incapable of coming up with any quality original ideas, so here are some that would make great series (live action or even animated). Many of them may have passed on, some might still be alive but hopefully the intellectual rights are still around and could be adapted. The 70's were a golden age of science fiction, fantasy and sword and sorcery adventures from a lot of great writers.
